Little Star Imaging offers standard ultrasounds as well as 4D/5D ultrasounds, which use sound waves to create an image of your baby in your womb. The difference is that 4D ultrasounds create a three-dimensional image of your baby, while 5D ultrasounds create a live video effect, allowing you to watch your baby smile or yawn in high definition.

Many parents are interested in 4D and 5D ultrasounds because they provide a first glimpse of their baby's face. Little Star Imaging also values these types of ultrasounds because they can reveal certain birth defects, such as cleft lip, that may not be as visible on a standard ultrasound.

Studies suggest that 4D and 5D ultrasounds are safe and can help identify potential problems with your baby, making it easier for expecting families to view.

However, concerns arise when companies offer keepsake ultrasounds. The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists caution that excessive exposure to any ultrasound may not be good for your baby. It is important to be cautious and only get an ultrasound when necessary. At Little Star Imaging, we take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of you and your newborn.
